Samantha Murray- Learning Specialist

Hi Pioneer Families!

My name is Samantha Murray and this will be my first year at Pioneer.  I’m thrilled to be joining such a wonderful team! I am one of the Mild/Moderate Needs Learning Specialists.

I recently relocated to Colorado from North Dakota and have absolutely loved spending time outside and in the mountains over the summer.  Colorado is such a great place to call home! Aside from spending time with friends and family, I love to hike and Estes Park is one of my favorite places to visit.  Yoga is also a hobby of mine, so I can be found at the studio in my spare time. I really enjoy making the trip to Minnesota to visit my parents, younger sister, and friends as well ...especially when the trip involves cheering on the MN Vikings or Twins!!

After completing my Bachelor's Degree at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, I began my career teaching 1st grade in Arizona.  I then moved to North Dakota to teach K-5 Special Education and am currently completing my Master's Degree in Special Education through the University of North Dakota.

This year, “Never say I can’t, always say I’LL TRY!” will be a focus in my classroom.  As a teacher, I’m a lifelong learner and believe that sometimes making a mistake is the best way to learn.  I look forward to working with families and teaching my students to be lifelong learners too!
