Gina Landis, Principal

Gina Landis is proud to be the Principal of Pioneer Elementary. Gina has a broad experience in education, teaching in the high, middle and elementary schools, as well as being at the district as a Curriculum Coordinator. Gina even traveled to Finland to study their educational system and has taught classes around implementation of the Finnish system in the states. She came to Pioneer from Eagle Ridge Elementary as an Assistant Principal for six years. Gina says “I love the community at Pioneer. I have been excited to continue the amazing work that Pioneer has been known for as we have implemented our WiN groups, Student Council, and our Science, Technology, Music and Literacy (STML). When not at Pioneer, Gina enjoys spending time with her nuclear family-her husband of almost thirty years and three kids-, her extended family, good friends, church community and enjoying all that Colorado has to offer-skiing, hiking and more!

Matthew Yardley, Assistant Principal

I'm honored to be entering my third year as the Assistant Principal at Pioneer Elementary. Prior to joining this incredible community, I served as a high school assistant principal in North Mississippi. My leadership philosophy is simple: relationships come first! I believe that building strong, meaningful connections with students, staff, and families creates the foundation for a safe, inclusive, and impactful learning environment.

My family and I moved to Parker in June of 2023 and we’re so grateful to now call Colorado our home! My wife, Shelby, and I have been married since 2013 , and we’re the proud parents of three boys—Knox, a student at Cimmaron Middle School; Rowan, a third grader at Pioneer with me; and Brody, our youngest, who just turned three. As a family, we love spending time outdoors and going on new adventures together.

I'm excited to continue growing with the Pioneer community and look forward to partnering to help our students thrive.

Sierra Weil, Instructional Coach

We are excited to introduce Sierra Weil as the Instructional Coach of Pioneer Elementary! With a deep-rooted belief in the whole child and a commitment to supporting all staff members, Sierra brings a wealth of experience and a collaborative spirit to our school community. She is a lifelong learner who constantly seeks opportunities for growth and improvement. Sierra shares her life with the love of her life, Jason, and together they have four wonderful children, Jaden (18), Adysen (14), Aason (18) and Austin (16). When she's not working, Sierra enjoys exploring the great outdoors through camping and paddle boarding. Above all, she cherishes spending quality time with her family. Sierra's dedication to open communication with both the community and staff ensures that Pioneer Elementary will continue to thrive as a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
