Kirsten Sola, Principal
Greetings, Pioneer Community!
My name is Kirsten Sola, and I'm so excited to be your Interim Principal! My experience includes 24 years in education, including 14 years as an elementary teacher, 2 years in curriculum, instruction, and professional development, 6 years as the Assistant Principal of Coyote Creek Elementary, and 2 years as the Principal of Acres Green Elementary. Acres Green Elementary was one of the schools that was recently merged in Highlands Ranch, which is what led me to this incredible opportunity at Pioneer Elementary. I'm greatly looking forward to serving the Pioneer community as a Timberwolf!
Outside of school, I live in Parker with my husband and our dog, a whippet named Isla. I enjoy reading, baking, trying different crafts, traveling, spending time outdoors, and I'm a big Disney parks fan.
Jenny Bigbey, Assistant Principal
Jenny brings 27 years of educational experience, with her first 20 years in education right here as a DCSD classroom teacher. She transitioned to Aurora Public Schools and served as an instructional coach and, most recently, as an Elementary Literacy Instructional Coordinator. Jenny has a deep passion for curriculum, instruction, and professional development, with a particular love for literacy. She is excited to return to a school building and get to know the Pioneer community.
When she isn't at work, she and her husband, David, are busy tending to their hobby ranch, serving in their church community, and checking in with their daughter, Ella, who is attending Brigham Young University-Idaho, She is excited and honored to join the Pioneer Elementary community!
Angela Davis, Professional Learning Specialist
Hi, my name is Mrs. Angela Davis and I am thrilled to be joining the Pioneer Elementary staff as your Professional Learning Specialist (PLS).
This will be my 25th year in education. Prior to joining the Pioneer community, I was an English Language Development teacher at Acres Green Elementary. I have also been a classroom teacher in kindergarten, first and third grade.
I am looking forward to supporting staff and students!
My husband Dan and I live in Littleton and have two children, Lainey and Drew.
When I am not at school I love spending time with my family, being outside with my dog Wallace, reading, going to concerts and traveling.
